Taking inspiration from popular online cooking shows, CloneComp blends time capped web development with story-driven daily prompts that challenge participants to weave creative story lines into engaging digital experiences.

Last year Raymmar Tirado, Colleen Brady and Joe Krug had the idea of hosting a hackathon that would showcase the power of Webflow while working to connect the no code community. This year we're back and doubling down on everything.

July 20, 2021

10:00 am ET - participant check-in

At 10:00 am on July 20, registered participants can start checking in and exploring the competition venue. Volunteers will be on site for final Q&A and last minute registration assistance.

11:00 Am ET - launch countdown begins

An hour before the kickoff stream we will open the competition venue to the public and start our countdown clock. The space will remain open to participants as well as the public throughout the entire competition.

12:00 PM ET - Kickoff Live stream

At noon we'll kick off the event. Vlad Magdalin (CEO Webflow) will join us for a kickoff livestream that will recap the rules and lay out the first segment of the unified story line.

At this time we will also release the master cloneable with shared assets for day 1. We will be taking questions from the crowd, and reviewing advice from last years grand champion.

1:00 PM et - Start Public build sessions

Participants will get started right away by finding a work space inside our virtual world or in private. Either way you'll have 24 hours to plotting and produce your project.

During this time we will facilitate impromptu breakout sessions for brain storming while we provide play-by-play coverage of the early moments of the competition.

6:00 PM ET - Day 1 Live recap

We'll close out day one with a live walk through of the virtual venue. We'll chat with early builders to get their thoughts about the first day of competition and ask them how they think they stack up against the competition. Throughout the event we will have live touch points like this to keep the audience connected to participant progress.

8:00 PM -10:00 am ET - Scramble mode begins

Overnight is often when the magic happens. As more participants from around the world join the competition and the space comes to life with creative juices and all night work vibes. Drop in at any time to explore the progress or network with participants.

July 21, 2021

10:00 Am ET - Day 2 Check-in and co-build Session

At 10:00 am on day two, we will staff the information area with volunteers to help answer any questions you might have about making your first submission. Feel free to explore the space and interact with other participants.

12:00 PM ET - Submissions due & Live Day 1 recap

At noon we'll announce the second round of story prompts and release a few more shared assets for you to include in your day two submission. We'll also review some of the early day 1 submissions, check in with participants and walk around the venue to showcase all the action. Join us live each day for the stream, or jump into the venue to explore for yourself.

1:00 PM et - public build session begins

Day two work sessions will start with some show-and-tell and interactive breakouts where participants can explore prior round submissions and strategize for their next round. Feel free to explore the virtual venue and network with Webflow users from around the world.

1:00 PM et - Judging Begins

As participants get back to work, judges will get their first chance to navigate the venue and review submissions while interacting with participants. Participants, judges, and even the crowd will get a chance to cast their vote for the various entries as competitors vie for the first round prize.

6:00 PM ET - Day 2 Live recap

We'll close out day two with a walk through of the virtual venue, highlights from throughout the day and conversations with participants about their chances of winning it all.

At 10:00 am on day three we will again staff the information area with volunteers to help answer any questions you might have about making your submissions. Feel free to explore the space and interact with other participants.

12:00 PM ET - Submissions due & Live Day 2 recap

At noon we'll announce the third round of story prompts and release the final shared assets for you to include in your day three submission. We'll review early day 2 submissions, check in with active participants and highlight the best of the best so far. Join us live each day for the stream, or jump into the venue to explore for yourself.

1:00 PM et - public build session begins

Day three work sessions will again start with some show-and-tell and interactive breakouts where participants can explore prior round submissions and strategize for their next round. Feel free to explore the virtual venue and network with Webflow users from around the world.

1:00 PM et - Judging Continues

As participants get back to work, judges will begin their second day of judging. Participants, guest judges, and the general audience will get a chance to cast their vote for the various entries as competitors vie for the first round prize.

July 23, 2021

10:00 Am ET - Final Submissions Begin

All submissions are due today by 12pm ET. Once again we will staff our information booths with volunteers who will answer any final questions and help participants as they make their final submissions.

12:00 PM ET - Submission Deadline & Live Day 3 recap

All submissions are due BEFORE THE FINAL LIVESTREAM BEGINS! During this stream we will review final some of the early submissions and highlight the best moments from the competition as well as spend some time reviewing top submissions.

1:00 PM et - Final Judging Begins

After the stream, judges, participants, and the crowd will have 2 hours to cast their final votes.

3:00 PM et - All votes Due

At 3pm we will close all of the voting forms and begin the final deliberation process with the official judging panel as well as the organizing committee. Final scores are compiled by combining weighted values from crowd scores, participant votes, and official guest judge scoring.

5:00 PM ET -  Awards Ceremony Begins

Our final stream will be a hybrid interactive session the will take place on YouTube as well as an interactive element inside the virtual venue. We will announce the winners after spending some time reviewing the top submissions and recapping the top moments from the last three days.
